Abstract in English
In Meruri, Mato Grosso, we are participating in a larger project: The Bakaru Project, which consists of revitalizing our mythology and the values of our culture. Within this great project, my choice was to study the role of "Soul Mothers" in Boe's life and funeral rites. I interviewed and recorded the voice of two "Soul Mothers" of great importance in Meruri, in order to provide valuable information of Life Histories for future studies and in our present. The form of this research follows the reflection of the Shared Knowledge of Production for the construction of collective narratives of the Boe's culture and it is based on the practices of the Writing and Listening Lab. The study of the Bororo funeral was transformed into a living text, a text-voice, that highlights oral speech in writing so that we can better hear what is inscribed here.
