Keywords in Portuguese

Filosofia da Arte
Filosofia dos Jogos
História dos Jogos no Brasil
Jogos de tabuleiro

Abstract in English
This dissertation aims at rehabilitating allegoresis as a strategy for artistical presentation, based upon debate on the fields of Philosophy of Language, Philosophy of Art and Philosophy of Games. Authors such as Nelson Goodman and Walter Benjamin prevail from the theoretical confrontation, aiming at building an approach to postmodern problems in Art and Culture. From championing a benjaminian concept of allegoresis against verisimilitude in Art, and reading critically the History of Culture, this dissertation will establish a paradigm for considering the cultural role of games as a medium. As a practical application of such concepts, this research included interviews with tabletop games creators André Zatz and Sergio Halaban, as well as the writing of a screenplay intended for popular science.
