O objetivo desta pesquisa foi demostrar, a partir da década de 1970, os reflexos das interações sociais entre os imigrantes japoneses e chineses no bairro da Liberdade. Para compreender essa questão e mostrar a interação social nos aspectos de entidades e pessoais, o trabalho foi dividido em três capítulos focando em diferentes aspectos: a história de imigração chinesa e japonesa no Brasil, as origens do bairro da Liberdade e as instalações dos imigrantes chineses e japoneses (enfoque histórico); uma comparação das entidades chinesas e japonesas no bairro da Liberdade e análise das relações e comunicações das entidades entre os dois grupos baseando nas entrevistas realizadas; Pesquisa de campo e análise dos dados individuais. O trabalho mostrou as características dos dois grupos no Bairro da Liberdade, um grupo de novos imigrantes chines, altamente móvel, com baixa escolaridade enquanto o imigrante japonês é altamente integrado à sociedade brasileira com maioria de segunda e terceira gerações. Neste contexto, concluiu-se que os dois grupos estão na fase inicial de interação social nos aspectos de relações pessoais, cooperações das entidades e contatos comerciais. Diante do aumento dos chineses no bairro da Liberdade, a maioria dos imigrantes japoneses se adaptou e ainda há uma certa porcentagem de pessoas está na fase de ajuste, visto que 40% dos imigrantes japoneses não gostam ou acham que não seja bom. Após de uma adaptação, os imigrantes japoneses entraram em uma fase de reação, refletindo na pesquisa a necessidade da cooperação entre os dois grupos no Bairro da Liberdade. Através dessas pesquisas de interações sociais, observou-se a transformação e desenvolvimento de relações civis inicialmente fracas. Porém, mesmo no contexto da globalização, é difícil prever as frequentes interações sociais entre os imigrantes chineses e japoneses do bairro no futuro, visto que entre os dois grupos no bairro da Liberdade existe pouca interdependência.

The purpose of this research is to show, from the 1970s, the reflexes of social interactions between Japanese and Chinese immigrants in the neighborhood of Liberdade. In order to answer this question and show the social communication, this research was divided into three chapters focusing on different aspects: 1. the history of Chinese and Japanese immigration in Brazil, the origins of the Liberdade neighborhood and the setup of the Chinese and Japanese immigrants (historical approach); 2. a comparison of the Chinese and Japanese social entities in the Liberdade neighborhood and a analysis of the relations and communications of the entities between the two groups based on the interviews (comparative approach); 3. Field research and data analysis with individual interviews (collective approach). The work showed the characteristics of the two groups in Liberdade neighborhood, one group is a new Chinese immigrant, highly mobile, with low schooling while the Japanese immigrant is highly integrated with Brazilian society and most of them belong to the second and third generations. In this context, we conclude that two groups are in the initial phase of social interaction in the aspects of personal relationships, cooperation of entities and business contacts. With the rise of the Chinese in the Liberdade neighborhood, most Japanese immigrants have accepted and adapted, however, there is still a certain percentage of people in the adjustment, since 40% of Japanese immigrants do not like this phenomenon or think it is not good. After the adaptation, the Japanese immigrants entered a phase of reaction, reflecting of a strong willing in the cooperation with the Chinese immigrants in the neighborhood of Liberdade. Through this survey, we can see the transformation and development of civil relationship of these two groups from weak to a little better. However, even in the context of globalization, it is difficult to predict the frequent social interactions due to the little interdependence between these two groups in the future.
