Abstract in English
In this study, we examine the language that arises from the clinical encounter between physician and patient, considering the medical clinic as a hybrid genre that extends beyond its purely narrative aspects. Drawing upon Aristotelian Poetics as our primary theoretical and methodological framework, we view the clinic as a tragic stage, where discursive elements of the dramatic conflict between the characters unfold. We employ the metaphor of the labyrinth to represent the medical clinic and propose three interpretive paths rooted in the constituent elements of Aristotelian tragedy: myth (plot), thought (rhetoric), and characters. Throughout our chosen trajectory, we utilize elements from classical Greek mythology to provide deeper insights into the form and significance of the clinic and its elements in performance
