A lei 10.639/03 é um marco para a educação brasileira, uma vez que altera a LDB ao instituir a obrigatoriedade do ensino de culturas e histórias africanas e afro-brasileiras no currículo escolar. Considerando a importância de compreender e valorizar experiências concretas de implementação dessa legislação, esta pesquisa visa, valendo-se da experiência de mediação de leitura da obra Leite do Peito, de Geni Guimarães, junto a uma turma da Educação de Jovens e Adultos de uma Escola Municipal da Zona Norte de São Paulo, reconstituir momentos da experiência de leitura compartilhada da obra, interpretar a maneira como a trama os afeta, apreender os olhares dos/as estudantes sobre a narrativa e analisar como as relações raciais são evocadas em seus discursos. A partir destas reflexões, buscamos apresentar caminhos para uma educação comprometida com a luta antirracista.

Abstract in English
Law 10.639/03 is a milestone for Brazilian education, as it amends the LDB by establishing the mandatory teaching of African and Afro-Brazilian cultures and histories in the school curriculum. Considering the importance of understanding and valuing concrete experiences of implementing this legislation, this research aims, using the experience of reading mediation of the work Leite do Peito, by Geni Guimarães, together with a group of Youth and Adult Education at a School Municipality of the North Zone of São Paulo, reconstituting moments of the experience of shared reading of the work, interpreting the way in which the plot affects them, apprehending the students' perspectives on the narrative and analyzing how racial relations are evoked in their speeches. From these reflections, we seek to present ways for an education committed to the anti-racist struggle.
