A perspectiva de análise comparada entre os romances O alegre canto da perdiz da moçambicana Paulina Chiziane, Everything good will come da nigeriana Sefi Atta e Do not go gentle da sul-africana Futhi Ntshingila revela as trajetórias das personagens e permite refletir sobre a imbricação posta entre história, feminismo e questões de raça e classe. Partindo de pressupostos teórico-metodológicos do materialismo histórico e abordando temas como: maternidade, amizade, organizações familiares, violências sistêmicas, religião, cultura e atuação neoliberal no continente africano, é possível analisar de que forma as protagonistas interagem com outras personagens femininas na construção de seus percursos romanescos, ao passo que contrapõe uma realidade de dominação e exploração que opera sobre elas. Diante de um campo ideológico patriarcal constantemente contestado e de um discurso que corrobora com a perspectiva feminista, no sentido de enfrentamento da estrutura social que oprime as mulheres, as personagens oferecem trajetórias possíveis dentro do contexto atual. Dessa forma, o trabalho contribui para viabilizar e elucidar estudos sobre romances escritos por mulheres no continente africano e vislumbrar um projeto literário de autoras comprometidas com a consciência histórica e social da contemporaneidade.

The perspective of comparative analysis among the novels O alegre canto da perdiz, written by the Mozambican novelist Paulina Chiziane, Everything good will come, by the Nigerian author Sefi Atta, and Do not go gentle, by the South African Futhi Ntshingila, exposes the paths of the characters and allows a reflection on the intersection where history, feminism and issues of race and class meet. Based upon theoretical-methodological assumptions regarding the historical materialism and highlighting issues such as motherhood, friendship, family organizations, systemic violence, religion, culture and neoliberal action on certain regions in the African continent, it is possible to investigate how the protagonists interact with other feminine characters during the construction of their paths - whilst they oppose a reality of domination and exploitation that operates on them. Faced with a constantly contested patriarchal ideological field and a discourse that accentuates the feminist perspective, perceived here as the confrontation of the social structure that oppresses women, the characters offer possible paths within the given context, Therefore, our research contributes to promote and elucidate studies on novels written by women on the African continent, as well as to glimpse a literary project of novelists committed to the historical and social conscience of contemporaneity.
