Este trabalho apresenta a tradução do livro Camelinhos celestes da escritora russa Elena Gurô (1877-1913), que foi organizado por sua irmã Ekaterina Nizen e pelo artista Mikhail Matiúchin com base nos seus manuscritos e publicado postumamente, em 1914. A tradução acompanha notas explicativas, contextualizando questões sociais e históricas, além de desafios e soluções do processo tradutório. O comentário de abertura se propõe a apresentar a autora e sua poética ao leitor brasileiro. Nele, exploramos como suas concepções filosóficas e religiosas estão tecidas em seu fazer literário e sugerimos a possibilidade de entendê-la como precursora dos procedimentos realizados pelos escritores da vanguarda russa. Investigamos ainda o envolvimento de Gurô com a vertente orgânica da arte de vanguarda, teorizada nas décadas de 1920 e 1930.

This work presents the translation of the book Heavenly Baby Camels by the Russian writer Elena Guro (1877-1913). It was organized by her sister Ekaterina Nizen and the artist Mikhail Matyushin based on Guro's manuscripts and published posthumously, in 1914. The translation is accompannied by notes that contextualize social and historical issues, as well as challenges and solutions found during the translation process. The foreword aims at presenting the author and her poetics to the Brazilian reader. There, we explore how her philosophical and religious conceptions are presented in her literary work and suggest the possibility of classifying her work as a precursor of the procedures performed by Russian avant-garde writers. We also investigate Guro's engagement in the organic strand of the avant-gard, which would be theorized in 1920s and 1930s.
