O presente trabalho de pesquisa apresenta uma tradução do original em russo da novela Púnin e Babúrin, de Ivan Turguêniev, publicada em 1874, assim como uma investigação dos contextos histórico e literário russo, a partir da datação dos capítulos da novela pelo autor, com o objetivo de compreender a caracterização e evolução dos tipos "homem supérfluo" e "raznotchínets", bem como o embate entre eles. Por se tratarem de tipos recorrentes na obra de Turguêniev, procurou-se realizar também um estudo da relação que as duas personagens centrais da novela, o "homem supérfluo" e o "raznotchínets", guardam com alguns dos principais personagens da obra do escritor. Paralelamente, o trabalho apresenta um comentário sobre o estilo literário do autor e, mais especificamente, sobre determinados recursos que são frequentes em suas narrativas, com o propósito de ressaltar sua riqueza e importância para a Literatura. E, por fim, ressalta alguns elementos autobiográficos presentes na novela, visto que estão atrelados tanto à construção estética de suas obras, de modo geral, quanto ao retrato desses dois tipos tão representativos da literatura russa do século XIX.

The present research work presents a translation of the original in Russian of the novel Punin and Baburin, by Ivan Turguêniev, published in 1874, as well as an investigation of the Russian historical and literary contexts, from the dating of the chapters of the novel by the author, with the aim of understanding the characterization and evolution of the types "superfluous man" and "raznoshynets", as well as the clash between them. Since they are recurrent types in Turgenev's work, there is a study about the relationship that the two central characters of the novel, the "superfluous man" and the "raznotchínets", keep with some of the main characters of the writer's work. In parallel, the work presents a commentary on the author's literary style and, more specifically, on certain resources that are frequent in his narratives, with the purpose of highlighting its richness and importance for Literature. And, finally, we highlights some autobiographical elements present in the novel, since they are linked both to the aesthetic construction of his works, ingeneral, and to the portrait of these two types so representative of Russian literatureof the 19th century.
