A presente pesquisa surgiu de uma reflexão acerca dos lugares que a literatura ocupa, atualmente, na nossa sociedade, para além da sala de aula tradicional. O tema central foi a investigação da(s) possibilidade(s) de utilização da comunidade Booktube como ferramenta de apoio motivacional durante o processo de letramento literário culto (introdução e encorajamento da leitura de clássicos literários). A pesquisa foi desenvolvida com o suporte da metodologia exploratória e descritiva. A coleta dos dados analisados de forma quali-quantitativa foi feita por meio da observação empírica de vídeos de diferentes canais de booktubers, de informações levantadas por meio da leitura de comentários nesses vídeos e, ainda, com o auxílio da pesquisa de campo que produziu questionários e entrevistas direcionados a dois diferentes grupos, ambos compostos por estudantes do 3° ano do Ensino Médio. O primeiro grupo foi composto por jovens que acompanhavam canais booktubers e o segundo grupo foi composto por jovens que não conheciam booktubers. O segundo grupo participou de uma oficina de leitura mediada por essa pesquisadora. Durante os encontros da oficina, a comunidade booktube foi apresentada a esse segundo grupo. A pesquisa se interessou também pela forma como o leitor contemporâneo se relaciona com duas categorias de obras, as chamadas literaturas culta e trivial, sem desconsiderar a problematização da relação dos booktubers com o mercado editorial, discutindo a transformação do livro em mercadoria e os interesses comerciais por trás da iniciativa booktube. This research arose from a reflection on the places that literature currently occupies in our society, beyond the traditional classroom. The central theme was the investigation of the possibility(s) of using the Booktube community as a motivational support tool during the cult literacy process (introduction and encouragement of the reading of literary classics). The research was developed with the support of exploratory and descriptive methodology. The amount of data analyzed in a qualitative and quantitative way was carried out through the empirical observation of videos from different booktubers channels, information gathered by reading comments on these videos and, also, with the aid of field research that produced questionnaires and interviews aimed at two different groups, both composed of students from the 3rd year of high school. The first group was composed of young people who followed booktubers channels and the second group was composed of young people who did not know booktubers. The second group participated in a reading workshop mediated by this researcher. During the workshop meetings, the booktube community was introduced to this second group. The research was also interested in the way in which the contemporary reader relates to two categories of litterature, the so-called cultured and trivial literature, without disregarding the questioning of the relationship between booktubers and the publishing market, discussing the transformation of the book into merchandise and the commercial interests behind the booktube initiative.
