This work used concepts such as expectative horizon and effect considered typical characteristics of the Reception Aesthetics, and both were applied to analyse of some few jornalistic criticisms about the books All the Names and The duplicated man, by Jose Saramago, published in newpapers of large circulation in the Brazil, in first twelve months after their publication.
