Uma das consequências do deslocamento massivo de migrantes para São Paulo, entre o fim do século XIX e início do século XX, foi o desenvolvimento de diferentes modalidades de contato linguístico entre estrangeiros de várias nacionalidades e os habitantes locais. Essa situação de contato linguístico também foi transposta para a ficção. A linguagem usada para representar o modo de falar dos estrangeiros que misturavam sua própria língua com o português é também conhecida como macarronismo. Esta pesquisa analisa colunas humorísticas paulistanas publicadas entre 1911 e 1930, escritas com línguas macarrônicas que representam a fala dos ítalo-paulistanos. Um de nossos principais objetivos é examinar por que é imprescindível considerar essa(s) língua(s) macarrônica(s) em sua especificidade de representação literária. Na mesma direção, veremos como essa representação inscreve-se no contexto histórico-cultural da migração italiana em São Paulo, especialmente na demarcação de fronteiras identitárias. A partir de uma concepção dialógica da linguagem e do enunciado literário, a compreensão dos sentidos do texto é buscada nas relações sociais. O ponto de partida da pesquisa é buscar compreender de que maneira Juó Bananére e outras personagens que usam uma linguagem macarrônica ítalo-paulistana se relacionam com o contexto linguístico e identitário da migração italiana na cidade de São Paulo. O conceito central utilizado para analisar a relação entre obra e contexto é o de gênero discursivo, na perspectiva bakhtiniana. O corpus da pesquisa é composto por um conjunto de textos cômicos, publicados em periódicos humorísticos paulistanos entre 1911 e 1930, os quais categorizamos como caricaturas verbais de tipos, a partir de uma óptica discursiva. Um dos objetivos da pesquisa é retirar da sombra algumas das personagens menores desse gênero, que, diferentemente de Juó Bananére, não sobreviveram à prova do tempo. Essas personagens menos conhecidas permitem entender melhor a produção de Juó Bananére e o gênero discursivo como um todo. Nesse sentido, foi realizado um mapeamento da presença de caricaturas verbais de tipos em duas revistas paulistanas em língua italiana, Il Pasquino Coloniale e Il Moscone. As colunas selecionadas foram disponibilizadas em um repositório digital, para que outros pesquisadores possam utilizá-las.

One of the consequences of the massive displacement of migrants to São Paulo, between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, was the development of different modalities of linguistic contact between foreigners of various nationalities and the local inhabitants. This linguistic contact situation was also transposed to fiction. The language used to represent the way of speaking of foreigners who mixed their own language with Portuguese is also known as macaronism. This research analyzes humorous columns from São Paulo published between 1911 and 1930, written in macaronic languages that represent the speech of ítalo-paulistanos. One of our main objectives is to examine why it is essential to consider these macarronic language(s) in their specificity of literary representation. In the same direction, we will see how this representation is inscribed in the historical-cultural context of Italian migration in São Paulo, especially in the demarcation of identity boundaries. From a dialogic conception of language and literary utterance, understanding the meanings of the text is sought in social relations. The starting point of the research is to try to understand how Juó Bananére and other characters who use a macaronic ítalo-paulistano language relate to the linguistic and identity context of Italian immigration in the city of São Paulo. The central concept used to analyze the relationship between text and context is that of speech genre, from Bakhtin's perspective. The corpus of the research is composed of a set of comic texts, published in humorous journals from São Paulo between 1911 and 1930, which we categorize as verbal caricatures of types, from a discursive perspective. One of the objectives of the research is to remove from the shadows some of the minor characters of this genre, who, unlike Juó Bananére, did not survive the test of time. These lesser known characters allow a better understanding of Juó Bananére's production and the speech genre as a whole. In this sense, a mapping of the presence of verbal caricatures of types in two São Paulo magazines in Italian language, Il Pasquino Coloniale and Il Moscone, was carried out. The selected columns were made available in a digital repository, so that other researchers could use them.
