O presente trabalho se propôs observar o espaço de escrita e a preocupação constante com a linguagem que se tornam elementos de relevância na leitura de Bouvard et Pécuchet, de Gustave Flaubert; tudo isso com a intenção de iniciar uma discussão acerca do espaço e das problemáticas de leitura promovidos pela obra. Para tanto, o primeiro capítulo foi dedicado a observar o texto de Flaubert como uma escritura, procurando analisar os questionamentos suscitados por isso, como a problemática da representabilidade, da linguagem, do clichê e da biblioteca, passando pela morte do autor e pela do livro. No segundo capítulo, por sua vez, a análise ficou em torno da questão da repetição, retomando o conceito de mise-en-abyme e acrescentando a ele a tensão entre repetição e diferença. A partir dessa tensão, pudemos ampliar o debate relativo ao clichê, à biblioteca, à linguagem, bem como trabalhar a questão da bêtise, do conhecimento e da problemática duplicação dos personagens. Por fim, todas essas discussões culminaram, no último capítulo, no levantamento de problemáticas acerca do espaço do leitor na obra.

This work aimed to observe the writing space and constant preoccupation with language elements that become relevant in the reading of Bouvard et Pécuchet, by Gustave Flaubert, intending to start a discussion on the problems of space and reading created by the book. Therefore, the first chapter intended to observe the text of Flaubert as a writing, tried to analyze the questions raised by this, as the problem of representability, language, the cliché and the library, analyzing as well the death of the author and the book . In the second chapter, in turn, there was the analysis of the issue of repetition and, in order to discuss this topic, we used the concept of mise-en-abyme and added to it the tension between repetition and difference. From this tension, we extended the debate over the cliché, library, language, as well as the issue of bêtise work, knowledge and problem duplication of characters. Finally, all these discussions culminated, in the last chapter, in raising issues about the space of the reader in Flauberts novel.
