Esta pesquisa apresenta análises sobre atitudes e representações linguísticas (PETITJEAN, 2009; JACUMASSO, 2018); produção de code-switching (POPLACK, 1980; 1981), como em "é que isso YO SÉ POR MIS AMIGOS BOLIVIANOS"; e autodeclaração de uso linguístico em ambientes empresariais (DEWAELE; LI WEI, 2014a; 2014b). O objetivo central é examinar o contato entre o português e o espanhol no cotidiano de imigrantes hispano-americanos trabalhadores de empresas estabelecidas em São Paulo e fornecer algumas evidências sobre as atitudes e representações em direção ao code-switching. Para tanto, a discussão proposta neste trabalho nasce das línguas em contato, passa pelo bilinguismo e chega ao code-switching, com o desejo de analisar as funções sociopragmáticas desse mecanismo e as atitudes e representações favoráveis ou desfavoráveis que seu uso fomenta. A condução de análises qualitativas e quantitativas sobre uma amostra de 67 questionários e 11 entrevistas sociolinguísticas ocupa-se de três cenários específicos: (i) hispanofalantes comunicando-se em português; (ii) code-switching na direção do espanhol para o português produzido por hispanofalantes e/ou brasileiros; e (iii) code-switching na direção do português para o espanhol produzido por hispanofalantes e/ou brasileiros. Os resultados dessas análises evidenciam o movimento dos informantes na atribuição de representações e atitudes mais positivas conforme avançam os cenários, isto é, quanto mais favorável ao espanhol é o contexto, mais positivamente os informantes se posicionam. As declarações associadas aos usos do português dentre hispanofalantes, quando não há a presença de brasileiros, se revelam carregadas de valores desfavoráveis, o que, pela análise das respostas dos informantes, indica ser resultado de uma intrínseca relação com afirmações de identidades marcadas pela língua espanhola. O panorama sobre os usos do code-switching na comunidade observada evidencia o favorecimento do português em espaços públicos e com interlocutores diversos, enquanto mantém o espanhol exclusivo às situações e interlocutores familiares ou de confiança.

This research presents analyses on linguistic attitudes and representations (PETITJEAN, 2009; JACUMASSO, 2018); production of code-switching (POPLACK, 1980; 1981), as in "é que isso YO SÉ POR MIS AMIGOS BOLIVIANOS"; and self-reported linguistic use in business environments (DEWAELE; LI WEI, 2014a; 2014b). The main objective is to examine the contact between Portuguese and Spanish in the daily life of Hispanic-American immigrants who work for companies established in São Paulo and provide some evidence about the attitudes and representations towards code-switching. Thus, the discussion proposed in this work starts with languages in contact, goes through bilingualism and reaches code-switching, with the aim of analyzing the sociopragmatic functions of this mechanism and the favorable or unfavorable attitudes and representations fostered by its use. The conduction of qualitative and quantitative analysis on a sample of 67 questionnaires and 11 sociolinguistic interviews deals with three specific scenarios: (i) Spanish speakers communicating in Portuguese; (ii) code-switching from Spanish to Portuguese produced by Spanish speakers and/or Brazilians; and (iii) code-switching from Portuguese to Spanish produced by Spanish speakers and/or Brazilians. The results of these analyses show the tendency of informants in attributing more positive representations and attitudes as the scenarios progress, that is, the more favorable the context to Spanish, the more positively the informants position themselves. The statements associated with the uses of Portuguese among Spanish speakers, when there is no Brazilian presence, unveil to be loaded with unfavorable values, which, based on the analysis of the respondents' responses, indicates that they are the result of an intrinsic relationship with identity statements marked by the Spanish language. The panorama of the uses of code-switching in the observed community shows the favoring of Portuguese in public spaces and with different interlocutors, while keeping Spanish exclusive to familiar situations and familiar or trusted interlocutors.
