Este trabalho se propõe a analisar de que modo a escritora argentina Sylvia Molloy desenvolve em sua escrita um diálogo profundo entre seus textos de criação memorialísticos, autobiográficos e/ou ficcionais e o ensaio crítico, buscando identificar como se dá o trânsito entre esses gêneros e de que forma a corrosão de seus limites conforma uma poética particular e uma concepção de literatura. Partimos da análise de textos como Acto de presencia. La escritura autobiográfica en Hispanoamérica (1996), livro de ensaios críticos, Varia imaginación (2003), seu primeiro livro assumidamente autobiográfico, e En breve cárcel (1981), seu primeiro romance, nos quais investigamos como a escritora desenvolve sua compreensão sobre a escrita autobiográfica e a elaboração do eu no relato. Veremos, nestes textos, que a memória não apenas é objeto de reflexão crítica para a escritora, como é também substância para a fabulação, matéria com a qual brinca e experimenta em seus textos. Considerando aspectos relevantes da vida da escritora que são recorrentemente por ela abordados como o multilinguismo, a desterritorialização da língua e a condição de estrangeiro , analisamos também textos críticos como Argentinos en el espejo: una reflexión sobre Borges (1999b), A modo de introducción. Back home: un posible comienzo (2006), Afterword: The Buenos Aires Affair (2007) e Literatura, una patria sin fronteras (2013), em relação com textos de criação como Vivir entre lenguas (2015a) e El París de Molloy, entre outros que julgamos relevantes. Identificamos, nestas análises, que sua escrita se forja a partir de um entrelugar provisório, precário, instável a partir do qual, com insistência, ela pergunta sobre si e, ao mesmo tempo, indaga sobre o outro.

This dissertation analyzes how the Argentine writer Sylvia Molloy develops in her writing a deep dialogue between her fictional texts including the autobiographical ones and her critical essays, trying to identify the mechanisms of the transit between these genres and how the corrosion of its limits constitutes a particular poetic and a conception of literature. We start from the analysis of texts as Acto de presencia. La escritura autobiográfica en Hispanoamérica (1996), a volume of critical essays, Varia imaginación (2003), her first autobiographical book, and En breve cárcel (1981), her first novel, in which we investigate how the writer develops her understanding about the autobiographical writing and the elaboration of the Self. In these texts, we found that memory is not only an object of critical thought for the writer, but also a substance for the imagination, which she uses to play and experiment in her creative writing. Considering relevant aspects of the writer's life that are frequently addressed in her texts such as multilingualism, deterritorialization of the language and the status of the foreigner we also analyze critical texts such as Argentinos en el espejo: una reflexión sobre Borges (1999b), A modo de introducción. Back home: un posible comienzo (2006), Afterword: The Buenos Aires Affair (2007) and Literatura, una patria sin fronteras (2013), in relation to fictional texts such as Vivir entre lenguas (2015a) and El París de Molloy, among others. We have identified that her writing emerges from a in between place which is transitory, precarious, unstable and from this place she insistently interrogates about herself and, at the same time, inquires about the other.
