Esta dissertação compõe-se de uma tradução e de um estudo introdutório à Electra de Sófocles. Dividimos, nosso trabalho, em três capítulos. O primeiro abordará o conceito de kairós como identidade de Orestes; o segundo analisará, tendo como suporte a teoria de Knox sobre a "heroic temper" das personagens sofoclianas, Electra e seus trenos pela morte de Agamêmnon. O terceiro capítulo tratará do matricídio cometido por Orestes. Nele, apresentamos alguns teóricos que abordaram o tema

Ce travail est constitué d'une traduction et d'une étude introductive à l'Électre de Sophocle. Nous l'avons divisé en trois chapitres. Dans le premier nous discuterons le concept de kairós em tant qu´identité d'Oreste; dans le deuxième nous ferons une analyse d'Électre et de ses thrènes pour la mort d'Agamemnon, d'après la théorie de Knox sur le "heroic temper" des personnages sophocliens. Dans le troisième nous aborderons le matricide perpétré par Oreste. Nous y présenterons quelques théoriciens qui ont réfléchi sur ce thème
