A obra de Marsílio Ficino é extensa e transita por diversas áreas, permitindo múltiplas abordagens metodológicas. Todavia, no caso desta pesquisa, ela é analisada sob uma perspectiva retórica, visando a ponderar como o pensador renascentista empregou o discurso filosófico, médico e astrológico, enquanto representava os portentos da humanidade como piedosos sábios inspirados, dentre estes, Platão, o modelo filosófico em sua concepção. Assim, este estudo atenta àquilo que denomina como uma teoria fisiológica da genialidade, na medida em que observa o humanista florentino articular uma interpretação da noção platônica de furor divino a teorias médicas renascentistas, buscando compreender a excelência de alguns indivíduos notáveis, enquanto imaginava uma sucessão de sábios iluminados ao longo da história. Outrossim, em diálogo com os estudos da orientadora desta pesquisa, que investigam a emergência da noção de autoria como se compreende hoje, também é examinado o processo de individualização e interiorização do talento no pensamento ficiniano, visto a teoria fisiológica da genialidade vincular o brilhantismo à constituição orgânica do indivíduo, mediante o emprego de premissas astrológicas, assim como ao aspecto anímico mais elevado do próprio pensador, seu intelecto. Por fim, cabe enfatizar que estas considerações são muito importantes, uma vez que, manejando contemporâneas perspectivas médicas, herméticas e cristãs, Marsílio Ficino elaborou uma visão de genialidade, assim como uma descrição de filósofo platônico ideal, baseada na herança clássica, que, além de refletir a nascente crença na capacidade criativa do homem, validaria sua própria obra com o brilho do Mundo das Ideias

The work of Marsilio Ficino is extensive and passes through several areas, allowing multiple methodological approaches. However, in the case of this research, it is analyzed from a rhetorical perspective, aiming to consider how the Renaissance thinker used the philosophical, medical and astrological discourse while representing the portents of humanity as pious inspired sages, among them, Plato, the philosophical model in his conception. Thus, this study focuses on what it calls a physiological theory of genius, as it observes the Florentine humanist articulating an interpretation of the Platonic notion of divine fury with Renaissance medical theories, seeking to understand the excellence of some notable individuals, while imagining a succession of enlightened sages throughout history. Furthermore, in dialogue with the studies of the supervisor of this research, which investigates the emergence of the notion of authorship as it is understood today, the process of individualization and internalization of talent in Ficinian thought is also examined, considering the physiological theory of genius to link brilliance to the organic constitution of the individual, through the use of astrological premises, as well as to the highest soul aspect of the thinker himself, his intellect. Finally, it is worth emphasizing that these considerations are very important, since, using contemporary medical, Hermetic and Christian perspectives, Marsilio Ficino elaborated a vision of genius, as well as a description of an ideal Platonic philosopher, based on the classical heritage, which, in addition to reflect the nascent belief in man's creative capacity, would validate his own work with the brilliance of the World of Ideas
