Nesta pesquisa tivemos como objetivo analisar os mecanismos linguísticos e discursivos que contribuem para a construção e sustentação de imagens da língua portuguesa de Angola na produção acadêmica de Brasil e Portugal. Como objetivos específicos: i) discutir as implicações discursivas dos verbos modais; ii) verificar como os pesquisadores se posicionam ao falarem sobre a(s) língua(s); iii) examinar as escolhas lexicais usadas para caracterizar a língua; iv) Analisar a heterogeneidade enunciativa a partir dos discursos presente nos textos. Como aparato teórico utilizamos as concepções centrais sobre formações imaginárias advindas da Análise do Discurso (PÊCHEUX, 1993), bem como as concepções modalizações linguísticas (POTTIER, 1978), sobre heterogeneidade enunciativa de (AUTHIER-REVUZ, 1998). A coleta do material analisado deu-se por meio da busca de textos acadêmicos sobre Língua Portuguesa em Angola, defendidas em Portugal e Brasil. Estabelecemos como período de interesse os últimos vinte anos para a coleta, e recorremos ao banco no Sistema Integrado de Bibliotecas da Universidade de São Paulo (SIBI), pelo acesso no Portal de Busca Integrada (PBI), encontramos vinte e três trabalhos, quinze teses e dissertações e oito artigos científicos. Selecionamos quatro para análises pesquisas que discorriam sobre a unidade linguística em Angola, também estudos que discutiram o ensino das línguas nacionais e o processo de colonização e todas demarcaram que as línguas nacionais interferem no ensino da língua portuguesa. Como resultados, no que se refere aos textos acadêmicos da universidade portuguesa, em Angola como minoritária e consolida a imposição da Língua Portuguesa, também sustenta uma imagem de língua como mercado; em relação ao texto acadêmico da universidade brasileira, observamos que a posição dos pesquisadores perpassa marca uma polarização pela língua oral e escrita. O discurso posto em movimento sobre a língua portuguesa é circunscrito pela compreensão de que a norma do português e o português brasileiro e angolano são variedade. Notamos uma imagem enunciada da língua portuguesa pelos pesquisadores estar associada às imposições linguísticas do período colonial, também uma imagem de que as línguas nacionais contaminam a língua portuguesa, bem como uma imagem de língua de um multilinguismo encoberto. Podemos verificar que os sujeitos, nos textos analisados, se posicionam frente à língua a constituir uma única língua da ciência e criando imagens de línguas como sistemas estáveis.

In this research, we aimed to analyze the linguistic and discursive mechanisms that contribute to the construction and support of images of the Portuguese language of Angola in the academic production of Brazil and Portugal. As specific objectives: i) to discuss the discursive implications of modal verbs; ii) verify how the researchers position themselves when talking about the language(s); iii) examine the lexical choices used to characterize the language; iv) to analyze the enunciative heterogeneity from the discourses present in the texts. Starting from the following research question: which language images are enunciated in academic texts about the Portuguese language in Angola? As a theoretical apparatus, we used the central conceptions about imaginary formations arising from Discourse Analysis (PÊCHEUX, 1993), as well as the linguistic modalizations conceptions (POTTIER, 1978), about enunciative heterogeneity (AUTHIER-REVUZ, 1998). The collection of the analyzed material took place through the search of academic texts on the Portuguese Language in Angola, defended in Portugal and Brazil. We established as a period of interest the last twenty years for the collection, and we resorted to the database in the Integrated System of Libraries of the University of São Paulo (SIBI), by accessing the Integrated Search Portal (PBI), we found twenty-three works, fifteen theses, and dissertations and eight scientific articles. We selected four pieces of research that discussed the linguistic unit in Angola for analysis, as well as studies that discussed the teaching of national languages and the colonization process, and all of them demarcated that national languages interfere in the teaching of the Portuguese language. As a result, concerning the academic texts of the Portuguese university, in Angola as a minority and consolidates the imposition of the Portuguese language, it also sustains an image of language as a market; about the academic text of the Brazilian university, we observed that the position of the researchers permeates a polarization by the oral and written language. The discourse set in motion about the Portuguese language is circumscribed by the understanding that the norm of Portuguese and Brazilian and Angolan Portuguese are a variety. We noticed an image of the Portuguese language expressed by the researchers to be associated with the linguistic impositions of the colonial period, also an image that the national languages contaminate the Portuguese language, as well as an image of a language of hidden multilingualism. We can verify that the subjects, in the analyzed texts, position themselves in front of the language to constitute a single language of science and create images of languages as stable systems.
