A pesquisa parte da hipótese de que as emoções negativas provocam outras emoções, fazendo com que alguns falantes tenham poder absoluto durante os atos de fala. Nesse sentido, a descortesia faz parte dos discursos dos personagens que desejam obter poder em suas falas, ameaçando a imagem de outros (GOFFMAN, 1970). Dessa maneira, este trabalho tem por objetivo verificar de que forma os efeitos de descortesia são causados nos interlocutores, diante de enunciados proferidos pelos personagens do meio familiar. Busca-se analisar enunciados de personagens masculinas e femininas do romance Meu Destino é Pecar, de Nelson Rodrigues, a fim de mostrar as estratégias e táticas de descortesia empregadas pelos falantes, bem como analisar se houve descortesia interpretada e qual é o efeito dela de acordo com o contexto de interação.Com o auxílio do contexto histórico e do contexto específico, foi possível traçar características dos personagens e entender as táticas utilizadas para expressar descortesia, a fim de obter e manter poder e status social, como também forma de acentuar o patriarcado da época. Quanto ao aparato teórico, partimos dos conceitos de contexto descrito por Van Dijk (2012), e da teoria dos atos de fala Austin (1965). Para mostrar o efeito e a intensificação da descortesia, apoiamos nos aportes teóricos de Culpeper (2011) e de Kaul de Marlangeon (2012), de quem falamos das tipologias da descortesia por fustigação e da sonegação de cortesia esperada pelo ouvinte para análise do corpus. Assim sendo, a pesquisa tem contribuição para os enunciados descorteses, bem como as estratégias e táticas de descortesia com o objetivo de reforçar o patriarcado da época e o dano psíquico ao outro. Procurou-se também mostrar os dados quantitativos dos tipos de descortesia mais empregados pelos falantes, além da interpretação e da reação do ouvinte que contribuíram para analisar os efeitos mais descorteses de acordo com a cultura da época

The research starts from the hypothesis that negative emotions provoke other emotions, causing some speakers to have absolute power during speech acts. In this sense, discourtesy is part of the discourses of characters who wish to obtain power in their speech, threatening the image of others (GOFFMAN, 1970). In this way, this work aims to verify in what way the discourtesy effects are caused in the interlocutors, in face of enunciations uttered by characters from the family environment. It seeks to analyze enunciates of male and female characters from the novel Meu Destino é Pecar, by Nelson Rodrigues, in order to show the discourtesy strategies and tactics employed by the speakers, as well as to analyze if there was discourtesy interpreted and what is the effect of it according to the interaction context.With the help of the historical context and the specific context, it was possible to trace the characters' characteristics and understand the tactics used to express impoliteness, in order to obtain and maintain power and social status, as well as a way to accentuate the patriarchy of the time. As for the theoretical apparatus, we start from the concepts of context described by Van Dijk (2012), and the theory of speech acts Austin (1965). To show the effect and intensification of impoliteness, we rely on the theoretical contributions of Culpeper (2011) and Kaul de Marlangeon (2012), from whom we talk about the typologies of impoliteness by fustigation and the withholding of courtesy expected by the listener for corpus analysis. Therefore, the research has contribution to the impoliteness utterances as well as the strategies and tactics of impoliteness aimed at reinforcing the patriarchy of the time and the psychic damage to the other. We also tried to show the quantitative data of the types of impoliteness most used by the speakers, as well as the interpretation and reaction of the listener, which contributed to analyze the most discourteous effects according to the culture of the time
