Ancorada teoricamente na Estilística em interfaces produtivas com a Linguística Textual, a Análise do Discurso e a Semântica, esta tese tem por objetivo mapear os recursos estilísticos que produzem efeitos de sentido humorístico na linguagem poética, utilizando como corpus um conjunto de trovas humorísticas. Para tanto, privilegiou-se como recorte a análise da expressividade decorrente da escolha lexical, isto é, de como as palavras são selecionadas e empregadas por um enunciador a fim de produzir efeitos de sentido. A expressividade decorre não somente dessa seleção, como também da criação de novas unidades lexicais ou de novos sentidos, às vezes imprevistos, para o que já existe no repertório linguístico. Busca-se, então, mostrar que as escolhas e as criações lexicais produzem uma linguagem lúdica que intensifica o sentido ou até, metalinguisticamente, supera o próprio enunciado em si, produzindo sentidos mais do que o próprio assunto escolhido pelo enunciador. Embora a análise seja feita com textos poéticos, o que implica um trato especial da linguagem, os processos estilísticos não são exclusivos da linguagem literária e podem ser bastante produtivos na língua comum.

Theoretically anchored by Stylistics in productive interfaces with Textual Linguistics, the Discourse Analysis and the Semantics, this thesis has as an objective mapping the stylistic resources that produce effects of humorous sense in poetic language, utilizing a set of humorous ballads as the corpus. For this purpose, the analysis of the expressiveness resulting of lexical choice was determined as a focus, namely, of how the words are selected and employed by an enunciator in order to produce effects of meaning. The expressiveness not only stems from this selection, but also from the creation of new lexical units or, sometimes unexpected, new meanings, to what already exists in the linguistic repertoire. Therefore, this thesis seeks to show that the lexical choices and creations generate a ludic language that intensifies the meaning, or even, metalinguistically, surpasses the wording itself, producing meaning more than the subject itself chosen by the enunciator. Although the analysis is made with poetic texts, which implies a special treatment of the language, the stylistic processes are not exclusive to the literary language and can be very productive in common language.
