A presente Tese objetiva examinar o discurso de Christine de Pizan (c. 1364 - c. 1430), poeta e filósofa franco-italiana, a partir de sua obra O Livro do Corpo Político (1404-1407), através da categoria analítica de gênero. Na supracitada obra, Christine pondera sobre o seu meio social utilizando a imagem do corpo em caráter metafórico, a exemplo confesso de Plutarco (c. 46 120), para destacar o lugar, as funções e a importância de cada um nesta estrutura, sugerindo e reprimindo atitudes. Desta forma, o corpo político de Christine apresenta o retrato dos vícios sociais e políticos do medievo, revelando a aspiração por uma sociedade plena e virtuosa. Em diálogo com outras obras de Christine, destacadamente A Cidade das Damas (c. 1405), percebe-se não apenas o desejo de uma nova estrutura social, mas, substancialmente, a projeção de um feminino participativo, inclusive das decisões políticas, cuja atuação movimentou a história. Por muito tempo a memória coletiva, e, portanto, os estudos históricos estiveram circunscritos a uma narrativa essencialmente masculina, que foi responsável por reproduzir imagens de um feminino inferiorizado, ocasionando uma visão estereotipada negativa em relação ao espaço deste feminino. Sob este prisma, foi sugerida uma reescrita da história, que buscasse contemplar as ações femininas, surgindo assim uma história das mulheres. Entretanto, historiadores e historiadoras observaram não somente as possibilidades, mas também algumas limitações deste modelo. Por conseguinte, propõem-se refletir o feminino em diálogo e conflito perante o masculino, a partir da perspectiva de gênero, a qual enfatiza justamente as tensões pela escrita e, portanto, pelo poder. Neste sentido, o presente estudo objetiva não apenas escutar, ou mesmo anexar sua história (História Anexo), mas proporcionar visibilidade à obra de uma mulher medieval, que por sua vez reverbera muitos outros atuantes femininos, que sob a imposta trama do silêncio permaneceram enquanto vozes subalternas

This Thesis aims to examine the speech of Christine de Pizan (c. 1364 - c. 1430), French-Italian poet and philosopher, based on her work The Book of the Body Politic (1404-1407), through the analytical category of gender. In the aforementioned work, Christine ponders about her social environment using the image of the body in a metaphorical way, following the confessed example of Plutarch (c. 46 120), to highlight the place, functions and importance of each person in this structure, suggesting and repressing attitudes. In this way, Christine's body politic presents a portrait of medieval social and political vices, revealing the aspiration for a full and virtuous society. In dialogue with other works by Christine, notably The City of Ladies (c. 1405), not only the desire for a new social structure is seen, but, substantially, the projection of a participatory feminine, including political decisions, whose performance moved the history. For a long time, the collective memory and, therefore, historical studies were limited to an essentially masculine narrative, which was responsible for reproducing images of an inferior feminine, causing a negative stereotypical view in relation to this feminine space. From this perspective, a rewriting of history was suggested, which sought to contemplate female actions, thus emerging a womens history. However, historians have observed not only the possibilities, but also some limitations of this model. Therefore, it is proposed to reflect the feminine in dialogue and conflict with the masculine, from a gender perspective, which emphasizes precisely the tensions caused by writing and, therefore, by power. In this sense, the present study aims not only to listen, or even annex her history (Annex History), but to provide visibility to the work of a medieval woman, who in turn reverberates many other female actors, who under the imposed plot of silence remained as subaltern voices
