Esta pesquisa estuda a presença do discurso anticomunista em três jornais da grande imprensa brasileira durante o Regime Militar Brasileiro. Foram realizadas leituras dos diários O Estado de São Paulo, Folha de São Paulo e O Globo durante os meses que antecederam o golpe civil-militar, em abril de 1964, até o ano de 1968, o que corresponde, portanto, aos primeiros anos do Regime Militar brasileiro. Nesse período a grande mídia esteve próxima do discurso defendido pelo regime e não ainda estava sob censura direta e institucionalizada. Desse modo, foi possível compreender outra faceta do autoritarismo que, através das mídias e suas ferramentas de discurso, buscou cercear as ações das oposições gerando instabilidade e medo além do uso da força física, praticada pelo aparato repressivo, e de outras ferramentas de coerção social através da construção de um imaginário anticomunista baseado na Doutrina de Segurança Nacional (DSN) que garantia uma fundamentação teórica aos atos e estruturações do Estado Autoritário pós-1964. A pesquisa evidencia a construção dessas narrativas de alarme anticomunista nas esferas políticas.

This research aims to study the anti-communism discourse in three brazilian's newspapers, part of mainstream media, reverberated during the Brazilian Military Regime. In this sense, through the readings of the newspapers O Estado de S. Paulo, Folha de S. Paulo, and O Globo, we start from the months preceding the civil-military coup from 1964 to 1968, corresponding to the first years of the Brazilian Military Regime. This period represents the moment when the mainstream media would be close to the discourse defended by the regime and would not be under direct and institutionalized censorship. Thus, we present the regime's pursuit to create an atmosphere of fear, using, besides the physical force of the repressive system, other tools of social coercion through the establishment of an anti-communist imaginary, having as its main base the Doctrine of National Security which guaranteed a theoretical foundation to the authoritarian State's acts and structures. The research seeks to highlight the development of these anti-communist alarm narratives in the political spheres.
