Esta dissertação analisa por meio da trajetória política de dois intelectuais, José Bergamín e Cayetano Córdova Iturburu, o engajamento de letrados na causa antifascista durante a década de 1930 na Espanha e na Argentina. Apesar de terem sido intelectuais importantes em seus respectivos países, ambos terminaram esquecidos pela historiografia especializada. O objetivo geral deste trabalho é o de evidenciar as especificidades do engajamento intelectual antifascista que durante a Guerra Civil Espanhola atingiu seu ápice, gerando fenômenos como o de intelectuais em guerra. Como objetivos específicos estão a recuperação da obra e da trajetória dos escritores analisados e a tentativa de atribuir-lhes a importância devida que tiveram dentro do movimento intelectual antifascista.

Abstract in English
This dissertation examines the engagement of literate in the anti-fascist cause during the decade of 1930 in Spain and Argentina through the political trajectory of two intellectuals, José Bergamín and Cayetano Córdoba Iturburu. Although they were important intellectuals in their respective countries, they both ended up forgotten by specialized historiography. The general objective of this work is to highlight the specificities of antifascist intellectual engagement that during the Spanish Civil War reached its apex, generating phenomena like that of intellectuals at war. The specific objectives are the recovery of the work and trajectory of the writers analyzed and the attempt to give them the proper importance they had within the intellectual anti-fascist movement.
