O presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar a reestruturação urbana da cidade de Altamira-Pará a partir da inserção da Usina Hidrelétrica de Belo Monte, e como essa reestruturação contribuiu para a exclusão dos atingidos pela obra no município. Para isso o trabalho foi divido em três capítulos, além da introdução e conclusão, para salientar a discussão sobre como a cidade de Altamira no sudoeste paraense já vinha sendo alvo de incursões governamentais bem antes da construção da UHE Belo Monte, para isso fazemos um estudo histórico metodológico através de textos que rememoram a grande abertura da estrada transamazônica no sudoeste paraense, colocando essa incursão do governo militar na década 1964, como um novo processo de povoamento e desenvolvimento da Amazônia aqui pelo uso da terra como principal chamariz, depois viajamos 30 anos depois no tempo, para olhar como os rebatimentos daquelas incursões contribuem para a nova dinâmica da cidade de Altamira, utilizando bibliografia e um extenso trabalho de campo para embasar a dissertação.

The present work aims to analyze urban restructuring of the city of Altamira-Pará from the insertion of the Belo Monte Hydroelectric Power Plant, and how this restructuring contributed to the exclusion of those affected by the work in the municipality. For this, the work was divided into three chapters, in addition to the introduction and conclusion, to highlight the discussion about how the city of Altamira in southwest Pará was already the target of government incursions well before the construction of the UHE Belo Monte, for that we do a study methodological history through texts that recall the great opening of the transamazon road in the southwest of Pará, placing this incursion of the military government in the 1964s, as a new process of population and development of the Amazon here by the use of the land as the main attraction, then we travel 30 years then in time, to look at how the repercussions of those incursions contribute to the new dynamics of the city of Altamira, using bibliography and extensive fieldwork to support the dissertation.
