O direito à cidade, no embalo da politização das questões urbanas, extrapolou a obra de H. Lefebvre, alcançando uma dimensão política, acadêmica e institucional inéditas. Do fenômeno de sua mobilização política à escala mundial emerge um conjunto de questões e problemas novos: a problemática do direito à cidade, exigente da superação da análise de sua polissemia manifesta pela das contradições que marcam sua emergência política. De um lado, a participação peculiar do direito à cidade na dialética teoria-práxis conduz à noção de conceito político. De outro, a ideologização do direito à cidade revela um novo movimento dialético entre sua reivindicação crítica veiculadora de uma política absolutizada e o resgate de seu sentido radical (utópico), alinhado ao projeto do fim da política e do fenecimento do Estado de Marx.

The right to the city, in the wake of the politicization of urban issues, went beyond the work of H. Lefebvre, reaching an unprecedented political, academic and institutional dimension. From the phenomenon of its political mobilization on a world scale, a set of new questions and problems emerges: the problematic of the right to the city, demanding to overcome the analysis of its manifested polysemy manifested by the analysis of its contradictions within its political emergence. On the one hand, the peculiar participation of the right to the city in the theory-praxis dialectic leads to the notion of political concept. On the other hand, the ideologization of the right to the city reveals a new dialectical movement between its critical claim that conveys an absolutized policy and the rescue of its radical (utopian) meaning, aligned with Marx's project of the end of politics and the withering away of the State.
