Abstract in English
The present work aims to understand the lives of immigrant children in Japan. To this end, the involvement in Japanese and Brazilian schools in Japan took place. In order to understand how foreigners are becoming part of the machine or staying on the margins of society, we will scrutinize the functioning of the school itself. This puzzle can only be solved if we pay attention to history and geography, the founding moment of the State and the school and its implications, as well as theories about the social structure of Japanese society. In this way, we will be able to approach the central questions, for example, "what does Japanese society want from school", "how school really is", and "how immigrant children live in the middle of these impositions".
