Abstract in English
Understanding the world and its changing reality is one of the challenges we found in the discipline of geography. Living this complexity in their lived space is an even greater challenge, especially when this space is demarcated by inequality and segregation. This work has as goal to demonstrate the life experience and survival of residents of the Municipality of Taboão in their lived space, which is the periphery. Its content is the reports composed by narratives of the spatiality and reflections of those who live there their relationships with the place, their perceptions, demonstrating their experience of life and survival. From the reflections of these narratives and as a theoretical foundation the approach taken by Humanist Geography, it is intended to verify and understand the types of peripheries that exist in the city, the diversity of experiences lived by people, residents who make up and complete the peripheral lived space of Taboanense. Evidencing the differences that occur in the place, its segregation experienced and exposed by those who feel and live its place of survival. Also in this work, we will propose a new geographic approach for a better understanding of several complex realities through the experiences of the lived.
