Analisando sete filmes paulistas produzidos nos anos 80, este trabalho busca perceber os possíveis significados das imagens construídas sobre a cidade de São Paulo. São eles: Cidade Oculta, de Francisco Botelho; Anjos da Noite, de Wilson Barros; Anjos do Arrabalde, de Carlos Reichenbach; A Dama do Cine Shangai, de Guilherme de Almeida Prado; Wholes, de Cecílio Neto; Disaster Movie e Diversões Solitárias, de Wilson Barros. Num primeiro momento, apresento uma discussão centrada na representação fílmica das metrópoles e mais especificamente São Paulo. Em seguida, os 7 filmes ganham o primeiro plano e são trabalhados através de temas transversais como tempo, espaço e a relação indivíduo/cidade. Nesta análise antropológica a abordagem da questão do trânsito entre imagem, imaginário, memória e experiência tornou-se essencial sendo o fio que alinhava todo o trabalho

Herein an analysis of 7 movies made by directors from São Paulo, produced in the 80's, is developed in order to understand which image of this city is idealized from their visual work. These movies are: Cidade Oculta, by Francisco Botelho; Anjos da Noite, by Wilson Barros; Anjos do Arrabalde, by Carlos Reichembach; A Dama do Cine Shangai, by Guilherme de Almeida Prado; Wholes, by Cecílio Neto; Disaster Movie and Diversões Solitárias, by Wilson Barros. Firstly, we introduce a discussion on the ideal representation of large cities that is shown in movies, with a special attention to São Paulo city. Secondly, those 7 movies become the central focus of the discussion and are analyzed under the light of specific transversal themes, such as space, time and the relation individual/city. Within the latter anthropologic analysis the discussion of the interaction between image, imaginary, memory and experience is essential, being the point that focus all the work
