Mediante a reconstituição do sentido da noção de forma lógica na Crítica da Razão Pura, procura-se identificar a concepção de razão pressuposta por Kant como um dado. Reduzida a uma relação de conseqüência necessária, a dedução mantém seu sentido tradicional, estabelecido nos Primeiros analíticos, conciliando-se inteiramente com a reformulação conceitual da relação sujeito-predicado na Crítica da Razão Pura. Visto que a forma lógica do juízo é reinterpretada por Kant como uma subordinação de extensões, como compreender sua referência a uma incógnita = x? Contra as interpretações tradicionais, formuladas a partir da filosofia analítica ou da Lógica de Port-Royal, pretende-se restaurar a especificidade da noção kantiana de extensão, de maneira a compreender a relação lógica entre o universal e o singular. Nesse contexto, procura-se distinguir duas relações efetuadas no juízo: a relação predicativa entre o conceito superior P e o conceito inferior S; e a relação não predicativa entre a intuição de algo individual = x e os universais S e P. Como resultado, trata-se de reconhecer uma atividade reflexionante não apenas na origem dos conceitos S e P, mas também na determinação da coisa completamente indeterminada x. Em vista do estatuto extralógico da incógnita = x, extrínseca às relações formais entre os juízos, colocam-se em evidência os fundamentos de uma ontologia compatível com o projeto da crítica da razão

By means of the reconstitution of the meaning of the notion of logical form in the Critique of Pure Reason, one tries to identify the conception of reason which Kant presupposes as a given. Reduced to a relation of necessary consequence, the deduction keeps its traditional meaning, established in Aristotles' Prior Analytics, and although it entirely harmonizes with the conceptual reformulation of the relation subject-predicate in the Critique of Pure Reason. Since the logical form of the judgment is reinterpreted by Kant as a subordination of extensions, how to understand its relation to an unknown = x? Against traditional interpretations, formulated from the background of analytical philosophy or of Port-Royal Logic, one intends to recover the specificity of Kant's notion of extension, so that one can comprehend the logical relation between universal and singular. Within this context, one distinguishes two relations performed in the judgment: the predicative relation between the superior concept P and the inferior concept S, and the non-predicative relation between the intuition of something individual = x and the universals S and P. As a result, one has to recognize an reflective activity not only in the origin of the concepts S and P, but also in the determination of the thoroughgoing undetermined thing = x. In face of the extralogical status of the unknown = x, which is extrinsic to the formal relations between judgments, the fundaments of an ontology compatible with the project of a critique of reason are brought into light
