Abstract in English
In the present work, we intend to advocate the following thesis: Arthur Danto's philosophy of art results in an attempt to establish a new "master narrative" that should legitimize the avant-garde arts, especially those carried out in the 1960s and 1970s. What we will call pluralist, or post-historical, would follow other narratives from the past, and together with it they would integrate a larger, or even epic, narrative of art. At first, it can be considered a narrative written to guarantee the artist's freedom, at a time in history when values such as beauty give way to others more in tune with Pop culture, or the post-historic period, such as freedom and equality. However, we will see that this freedom is not as broad as Danto makes it seem.
