Esta pesquisa busca examinar os escritos de Seyla Benhabib desde Critique, norm, and utopia traçando as relações com a filosofia arendtiana, especialmente por meio dos conceitos de ação, pluralidade e política. Assumindo a centralidade que o conceito de pluralidade tem para a crítica do modelo de ação unitário, fundamento da "filosofia do sujeito", perseguimos esse tema ao longo da obra de Benhabib com a intenção de demonstrar, por um lado, a relutância dos primeiros anos em assumir as influências arendtianas em seu trabalho, e por outro lado, o espaço que essa influência toma a partir dos anos 2000 com os temas dos direitos humanos, da soberania democrática e da cidadania - enquanto pertencimento a uma comunidade política - assumindo papel central. O estudo desse diálogo entre a tradição da teoria crítica e a filosofia arendtiana, traço da obra de Benhabib, por vezes mais explícito, por vezes menos, possibilita a percepção de uma tentativa de organizar um novo sentido de teoria crítica a partir de Arendt e é um sentido que busca integrar a pluralidade e uma vida política democrática às intenções de transfiguração da realidade.

This research seeks to examine the writings of Seyla Benhabib since Critique, Norm, and Utopia tracing the relations with Arendtian philosophy, especially through the concepts of action, plurality and politics. Assuming the centrality that the concept of plurality has for the critique of the unitary model of action, the foundation of the "philosophy of the subject", we pursue this theme throughout Benhabib's work with the intention of demonstrating, on the one hand, the reluctance of the first years in assuming the Arendtian influences in her work, and on the other hand, the space that this influence takes from the 2000s on with the themes of human rights, democratic sovereignty and citizenship - as belonging to a political community - assuming a central role. The study of this dialogue between the tradition of critical theory and Arendtian philosophy, a characteristic of Benhabib's work, sometimes more explicit, sometimes less, allows the perception of an attempt to organize a new meaning of critical theory with Arendt and it is a meaning that seeks to integrate plurality and a democratic political life with the intentions of transfiguration of reality.
