A presente pesquisa problematiza a relação entre desespero e paradoxo na filosofia de Søren Kierkegaard. Para tanto, primeiramente, analisamos os estágios da vida estética, ética e religiosa através da lente do paradoxo, observando como se dá a dinâmica dos modos de vida, as relações consigo mesmo, com a sociedade e com Deus. Posteriormente, analisamos o conceito de desespero em suas expressões com relação aos elementos da síntese do eu. Por fim, o cerne da pesquisa se voltará à questão do desespero de forma mais aprofundada, discorrendo sobre como ele se liga à falta de consciência, pouca consciência e consciência do eu e de sua eternidade, além de como o paradoxo também se apresenta em suas instâncias.

The research discusses the relation between despair and paradox in the philosophy of Søren Kierkegaard. In order to do that, primarily, we analyze the aesthetic, ethical and religious life's stages through the lens of the paradox, paying attention to how the paradox takes place in the dynamics of the ways of life, the relations with the self, society and God. Secondly, we analyze the concept of despair on its expressions related to the elements of the synthesis of the self. Lastly, we turn to the concept of despair again, but discussing the aspect of non-consciousness, little consciousness and consciousness of the self and of the eternal, as well as to how the concept of paradox is expressed there.
