Title in Portuguese
A constelação da barbárie: teoria crítica, psicanálise e autoritarismo
Keywords in Portuguese
Adorno
Autoritarismo
Fascismo
Psicanálise
Teoria Crítica

Abstract in English
This work analyzes the structures and social roots of the emergence and defense of anti-democratic discourses in Adorno's studies on authoritarianism, including: The Psychological Technique of Martin Luther Thomas' Radiophonic Lectures. Discussing what leads to the defense of anti-democratic movements that go against the interests of their own supporters. Approaching, in addition to empirical works, less discussed elements in the author's thought, such as Freudian psychoanalysis and Adorno's posture when taking a stand on the ideology and bourgeois values inserted in the conceptions of the father of psychoanalysis. In addition to Horkheimer's influences, the presence of other members of the Institute and the group's previous empirical works are also analyzed, which also exerted, due to their relevance and competence, a great influence on the Frankfurtian and his conceptions. By carrying out an immanent critique of bourgeois science, psychoanalysis and social structures, Adorno lays bare the society that lives under the shadow of barbarism.
