O objetivo desta tese é contribuir para a construção de uma perspectiva político-metodológica de interpretação da classe trabalhadora subordinada ao chamado "agronegócio", entendida como processo vivo e heterogêneo impulsionado por um conjunto multifacetado, articulado e não coetâneo de contradições com o capital. Para tanto, investigaremos a formação da classe trabalhadora no estado do Mato Grosso, analisando contradições relativas à apropriação da terra, à exploração do trabalho e à formação do espaço urbano da segunda metade do século XX ao início do século XXI. A partir de então, selecionaremos e analisaremos trechos de entrevistas com três segmentos não excludentes de trabalhadores em Sorriso, autointitulada "capital do agronegócio" e principal município produtor de soja no Mato Grosso e no Brasil: acampados e assentados de reforma agrária, assalariados de fazendas e agroindústrias e moradores de bairros periféricos da cidade em condições precárias de moradia. A hipótese central que orientará a pesquisa como um todo é que o processo de urbanização de áreas que até recentemente compunham a fronteira agrícola do país provocou amplas alterações no modo de vida das classes trabalhadoras subordinadas ao chamado "agronegócio", ao mesmo tempo preservando e subordinando a uma nova equação socio-espacial as contradições características da formação das zonas rurais desta região.

This thesis intends to offer a new political-methodological perspective on the working classes subordinated to the so-called "agribusiness" in Brazil, enphasizing the multiple, heterogeneous anda articulated character of their contradictions with capital. To this end, we will investigate the making of the working class in the state of Mato Grosso, analyzing conflicts related to the appropriation of land, the exploitation of work and the production of urban space from the second half of the 20th century to the beginning of the 21st century. We will select and analyze excerpts from interviews with three non-exclusive segments of workers in Sorriso-MT, main soy producing municipality in Brazil: family farmers in land reform settlements, wage earners in farms and agro-industries and residents of peripheral neighborhoods of the city in poor housing conditions. Our central hypothesis is that the urbanization process of areas that until recently comprised the country's agricultural frontier caused wide changes in the way of life of the working classes subordinated to the so-called "agribusiness", while preserving and subordinating to a new socio-spatial equation the contradictions characteristic of the formation of rural areas in this region.
