Esta dissertação analisa o lugar particular de um pensamento negro no Brasil: a trajetória intelectual e social do sociólogo Alberto Guerreiro Ramos (1915-1982). Para isso, se buscou interpretar-lhe a trajetória sob duplo aspecto: a) geral, reconstruindo suas relações com o advento da modernidade negra, em particular, por suas ligações com o Teatro Experimental do Negro (TEN) e o movimento da negritude francófona; b) específica, desde sua posição, função e qualificação intelectual. This dissertation analyzed the particular place of a Black thought in Brazil through the intellectual and social course of the sociologist Alberto Guerreiro Ramos (1915-1982). An attempt was made to interpret this course under two aspects: a) the general one, by reconstructing its relations with the rise of Black modernity, particulary through its links with the Black Experimental Theater (TEN) and the francophone negritude movement; b) the particular one, starting from Guerreiro's social position, his intellectual function and his high qualification.
