O objetivo deste trabalho é apontar alguns limites da teoria política formulada por Hannah Arendt. Para isto, a análise foi concentrada em sua teoria da ação e em características desta atividade na obra da autora. Foi destacada em sua teoria política a ausência de três temas políticos relevantes: o conflito, o interesse e a vontade. A condição humana da ação arendtiana é a pluralidade e, com essa opção, a autora pôde afastar da política o conflito. Caracterizando a ação como uma atividade sem fim externo a ela própria, foi possível à autora também afastar de sua teoria política o interesse. Por fim, sendo ação arendtiana imprevisível, Hannah Arendt pôde afastar do espaço político também a vontade. Com a ausência desses temas bastante relevantes para a política, a teoria política de Hannah Arendt ficou sem instrumentos necessários para tornar possível uma criatividade institucional. Embora as instituições tenham papel relevante na teoria da autora - são elas os pilares de sustentação do espaço político -, a sua criação parece ser viabilizada, nos estreitos limites de sua teoria, apenas nos raros momentos de fundação política. The aim of this work is to appoint some limits of Hannah Arendt´s political theory. For that, the focus of the analysis was concentrated on her theory of action and on characters of this activity in the works of Hannah Arendt. It was emphasized in her theory the absence of three relevant political themes: the conflict, the interest and the willing. The human condition of arendtian action is plurality and because of this Arendt could separate politics and conflict. Moreover, the arendtian action has not finality, thus she removed the interest from the political realm. At last, with an unexpected action, Hannah Arendt could separate politics and willing. The absence of these three central political themes removes from Arendt´s political theory the instruments for an institutional creativity. Although the institutions are very important in her theory - they are the structure of the political sphere -, only in rare moments of political foundation the creation of institutions is possible. Hannah Arendt, by her theory of action, searches one alternative after the absolute terror originated from totalitarian experience and, at the same time, to guarantee that it does not occur again.
