Abstract in English
This work aims to discuss the meanings of "feudalism" in Brazilian communist thought. Thus, we will make a brief introduction about the concept´s historical uses in Brazilian political thought, followed by an analysis of its origin and development in the Communist International and its arrival in Brazil. Finally, we will debate the relation between the category, the "dialectic of localism and cosmopolitism" pointed out by Antonio Candido, and the communist's position facing this dilemma.
