O presente estudo tem como objetivo analisar os possíveis contatos culturais ocorridos, principalmente, nas zonas portuárias das cidades levantinas de Tel Dor e Cesareia Marítima durante o período romano, especificamente entre I AEC e II EC. Para tanto, foram selecionadas algumas estruturas construídas e naturais que pudessem nos revelar esses contatos, por meio de seu estilo construtivo e arquitetônico, seu papel no mundo romano, seus significados na paisagem, e as possíveis fronteiras físicas e simbólicas a elas associadas. Além disso, também foram selecionados alguns objetos relacionados à essas estruturas que pudessem fornecer mais informações sobre as mesmas e sobre os contatos a elas relacionados. As informações foram obtidas por meio de relatórios de escavações e publicações concernentes, além de fontes escritas, principalmente as obras de Flávio Josefo, e visitas aos sítios arqueológicos. Para o debate a respeito dos contatos culturais foram utilizados os conceitos de emaranhamento e middle ground. Por fim, para uma melhor organização e compreensão dos dados, foram elaboradas fichas com as informações mais relevantes a respeitos das estruturas e objetos a elas relacionados.

The following study aims to analyze the possible cultural contacts that occurred, mainly, in the portuary zones of the Levantine cities of Tel Dor and Caesarea Marítima during the Roman times, specifically between I BCE and II CE. To this end, some built and natural structures were selected that could reveal these contacts, through their constructive and architectural style, their role in the Roman world, their meanings in the landscape, and the possible physical and symbolic frontiers associated with them. In addition, some objects related to these structures were also selected, which provided more information about them and their contacts. The information was obtained through excavations reports and relevant publications, as well as written sources, specially Flavius Josefos works, and visits to the archaeological sites. For the debate concerning cultural contacts, the concepts of entanglement and middle ground were used. Finally, for a better organization and understanding of the data, sheets were made with the most relevant information regarding the structures and objects related to them.
