Abstract in English
This thesis is dedicated to the study of theoretical elements of Critical Museology, the curatorial process in museums and the relationship among cultural heritage, memory and social identity, based on the analysis of the Nássaro Nasser Collection from the Câmara Cascudo Museum, an institution affiliated to the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. Press, institutional and official documents from "Pronapa" are used to go through an initial biographical path about the context of formation of the aforementioned collection. Based on a bibliographic review that highlights current trends in academic debate on topics as varied as cultural and archaeological heritage management, identity construction, public archeology, social belonging and community participation, it is intended to discuss sociopolitical configurations regarding the formulation and perpetuation of memory and identity, as well as power dynamics in the relations of social representation in museums. Finally, promoting a literature review with the state of the art of works that reflect on the resumption of museum activities and their respective adopted protocols, the objective is to detail and understand the nuances of this new panorama for museological institutions, especially considering the greater use of technological resources during the period of social isolation.
