Abstract in English
This thesis presents some results of the research carried out with the Guaraní ceramics of the Lower Paranapanema. The experience with the analysis of the drawings present in the ceramic fragments allowed to evaluate some of the structural and symmetrical properties that involve these configurations, as well as to demonstrate some interpretive aspects related to the sociocultural practices of the ceramist individuals. The main objective is to study Guarani ceramics and interpret their drawings, explaining the cognitive processes that involve this activity. In addition, I propose a methodology for analyzing the painted ceramic fragments so as not to fragment the styles into minimal motifs, which are gradually developed, defending and trying to demonstrate the way to understand the structure of the design as a whole.
