O objetivo da pesquisa foi buscar identificar as informações tipológicas de conjuntos cerâmicos do vale do rio Guaporé que se encontram sediados em quatro instituições museológicas: MERO e DARQ/UNIR na cidade de Porto Velho/Rondônia, CPMRARO no município de Presidente Médici/Rondônia e MAE/USP em São Paulo. Foi realizado o levantamento dos dados morfológicos e tecnológicos do material cerâmico, no entanto houve uma ênfase maior nas informações iconográficas pois um dos objetivos da pesquisa é identificar correlações entre os padrões iconográficos e a cosmovisão dos povos indígenas dessa região.

The objective of the research was to identify the typological information of ceramic sets in the Guaporé river valley that are located in four museum institutions: MERO and DARQ/UNIR in the city of Porto Velho/Rondônia, CPMRARO in the municipality of Presidente Médici/Rondônia and MAE/USP in the city of São Paulo. A survey of the morphological and technological data of the ceramic material was carried out however there was a greater emphasis on iconographic information because one of the specific objectives of the researh is to identify correlations between iconographics patterns and the cosmovision of the indigenous peoples of this region.
