Softwares odontológicos

Abstract in English
Digital technologies have been occupying an increasing space within rehabilitative science and in dental clinical areas. The study aimed to review the literature on 3D printing techniques and materials and, through a scope review, sought to identify the different virtual smile simulation software used for planning and rehabilitative treatment within the specialty of Restorative Dentistry. Material and Method: Research was carried out in the areas of Digital Dentistry and Restorative Dentistry. The study consisted of deepening the knowledge of technologies, through database reviews on 3D printers and virtual simulators. Conclusions: 3D printing has enabled different additive manufacturing techniques in the field of Dentistry, enabling better workflows and more significant functional and aesthetic clinical results. Regarding the software, several computer programs to simulate the smile were identified. It is essential that the Dental Surgeon, specialist in esthetics, adopt the Digital Smile Design protocol together with other clinical examinations, especially in cases of multiple dental restorations, in order to improve the predictability of oral rehabilitation.
