Abstract in English
By Flamless Atomic Absortion Spectrophotometry were analysed 64 samples of muscular tissue (flesh) and víscera of 32 fish from Mogi-Guaçu River, São Paulo, Brazil. The mercury contents of the muscles are significantly bigger than viscera's. The fish from Mogi-Guaçu River of examined species don't offer any danger as food for health, because they have mercury with contents lesser than 0,05 ppm (permissible level by WHO).
