A Casa Espírita Terra de Ismael é um centro espírita kardecista localizado na zona rural de Jurucê - S.P., e que possui um papel relevante como influenciadora junto à comunidade espírita kardecista da região de Jardinópolis e de Ribeirão Preto. O que a primeiramente pode ser creditado à junção de suas práticas assistenciais, que entre outras, incluem, um ambulatório fitoterápico e uma farmácia de plantas medicinais filantrópicos, e de seu compromisso na propagação da metodologia da evangelização de espíritos - proposta de educação espiritual encabeçada pelo Colégio Allan Kardec em Sacramento - MG. Contudo, segundo os próprios, o que é vivenciado pelos participantes da Casa Espírita Terra de Ismael em relação ao simbolismo da natureza é diferente das alegorias tradicionais de outras casas de doutrina espírita. Admitindo que os fenômenos religiosos possuam caráteres ao mesmo tempo psicológicos e culturais, esta pesquisa se desenvolveu como uma etnografia participante, que objetivou apreender este simbolismo da natureza na Casa Espírita Terra de Ismael, utilizando das proposições de símbolo e mundo imaginal do filósofo Henry Corbin; identificando uma simbologia marcada por sentimentos de afeto, acolhimento e empatia em uma vivência "sophiânica". Aproximando o fenômeno experienciado na Casa Espírita Terra de Ismael das religiosidades que divinizam a natureza, sem perder sua fundamentação teísta.

The Casa Terra Espírita Terra de Ismael is a kardecist spiritist center located in the rural area of Jurucê - S.P., and that has a relevant role as an influencer with the kardecist spiritist community in the region of Jardinópolis and Ribeirão Preto. However, according to themselves, what is experienced by the participants of the casa Espírita Terra de Ismael in relation to the symbolism of nature is different from the traditional allegories of other houses of Spiritist doctrine. Admitting that religious phenomena have both psychological and cultural feature, this research was developed as a participating ethnography, which aimed to apprehend this symbolism of nature at the Casa Espírita Terra de Ismael, using the propositions of symbol and imaginal world of the philosopher Henry Corbin; identifying a symbology marked by feelings of affection, acceptance and empathy in a "sophianic" experience. Bringing the phenomenon experienced in the Casa Espírita Terra de Ismael closer to the religiosities that deify nature, without losing its theistic foundation.
