Abstract in English
The restoration and the conservation of the forests have been an object of study in the world with the expectative to revert the accelerable process of degradation of the natural resources. The Atlantic Forest has been considered one of the most degraded forest of the world. In the São Paulo city the Atlantic Forest is represented for remanents dispersed on the urban area. The Colônia Crater is an outstanding ring feature around 3.6 km in diameter, located about 35 km south from São Paulo center city. The geological, geomorphological and geophysical data indicate the feature results from the impact of a celestial body about 36 to 5 myr ago. The Colônia Crater is a fragment of Atlantic Forest with three phytophysionomies: "Mata de Encosta", "Mata de Turfeira" and "Campo Brejoso". This work presents the seed rain analysis and seedling and regenerants recruitment on the three phytophysionomies of the Colônia Crater. In the each area was allocated five plots of 20x20 m, and in each plot was installed three traps (0.5x0.5 m) to collected diasporas, three subplots (0.5x0.5 m) to seedling accompanying and one subplot (1x1 m) to young plants recruitment. The total number of seeds was 31,194 (1, 386,4 seeds/m2 ), the seedlings was 614 (27,3 seedlings/m2 ) and of the regenerants was 138 (4,6 regenerants/m2 ). The phytophysionomies differ and the "Mata de Encosta" has a bigger number of seeds and regenerants. The monthly peaks of seeds and seedlings coincide with rain season which denotes the sazonal pattern. The woody habit predominate on three phytofphysionomies manly when the analisys are done considering abundance. Only the "Mata de Turfeira" presents expressive number of the liana. The zoocory is the dispersal syndrome most represented in both analysis, under the specific level and the abundance. The families most represented in this study was the same sampled in others forestry remanents of the São Paulo state: Asteraceae, Euphorbiaceae, Fabaceae, Melastomataceae, Myrtaceae, Rubiaceae e Sapindaceae. The Shannon-Weaver (H') index indicate low diversity to seeds, different of the observed to seedlings and regenerants. The similarity indices are lower than 0.5 to three phytophysionomies and the lowest value was verified to regenerants. The diferences observed among the areas can be associated to distances, edaphic conditions, relief and antropization level. The "Mata de Turfeira" can be considered a transition area between "Mata de Encosta" and "Campo Brejoso". The "Mata de Encosta" seems an isolate floristic manly of the "Campo Brejoso" showing low diversity of seeds and high diversity of seedlings and regenerants.
