Abstract in English
The use of substances with psychoactive effects is something that happens since the beginning of existence, the reasons always vary from contact with religious entities to the cure or reduction of symptoms generated by diseases. There are six major classes of drugs according to the UNODC (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime), cannabinoids, opium and its derivatives, coca and its derivatives, amphetamine-type stimulants, central nervous system depressants and hallucinogens, another substance that will be taken into account in this study is ethanol. Currently, the consumption of these substances in events for young-adult audiences in which the objective is socialization has gained space, as well as the discussion about it in society. Given this, this study analyzed the consumption of these substances in the aforementioned context, as well as some risks related to it through 1427 responses from volunteers obtained through a self-administered online questionnaire. The public reached is composed mainly of volunteers up to 30 years old, located in the southeast region, with higher education in progress or completed. A profile of different habits was observed between men and women, both for substance consumption and for the perceived risks of this consumption. These and other data are important to guide the creation of prevention and harm reduction policies, making them more assertive and effective.
