Essa pesquisa preocupou-se com o processo de Educação, contemplando como seu elemento fundamental o ensino de Estatística. Dentro deste aspecto, nos encaminhamos à discussão e elaboração de um projeto que permitiu ao discente um conhecimento básico de Estatística. Destacando a figura do professor, buscamos contemplar conhecimento deste profissional em relação aos aspectos que norteiam o ensino de Estatística abordado pelos Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais PCN, procurando desenvolver uma atividade com os alunos que permitisse despertar o interesse, e os levassem a refletir sobre a existência de estudos estatísticos e da presença da matemática no seu dia a dia. O nosso projeto interligou a geometria e a Estatística, tendo como conclusão efetiva a realização e confecção de uma saia godê. O foco principal foi os Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais, pelo fato de ser um documento desenvolvido com o intuito de auxiliar o professor na tarefa de educar e conscientizar um cidadão. Dentre as questões abordadas nos PCN, encontramos também a Transversalidade e a Interdisciplinaridade, assuntos que também citaremos em face da importância que estas apresentam na aplicação das atividades relacionadas ao nosso projeto. O trabalho foi desenvolvido em uma Escola Municipal de Américo Brasiliense- SP, onde, primeiramente aplicamos questionários, buscando abordar questões relacionadas aos assuntos que consideramos indispensáveis para um levantamento de dados que refletissem o atual conhecimento dos alunos. Os resultados mostraram que há muito para ser esclarecido e compreendido sobre Estatística.

This research was concerned about the process of education, contemplating as its fundamental element the education of statistics. Within that aspect, we route to the discussion and elaboration of a project that allows the student a fundamental knowledge of Statistics. Highlighting the professor, we aim to contemplate the knowledge off this profissional about the aspects that guide to the teaching of Statistics - proposed by the Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais - PCN (National Curriculum Guidelines), with the intention of develop an activity with the Students that allows then to arouse interest and let then to reflect on the existence of statistical studies and the presence of mathematics on their usual days. Our project connects geometry and Statistics to effective production of a flared skirt. The main focus was the Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais, because of the fact of being a document developed to assist the teacher on the task to educate and raise awareness on a citizen. Besides addressing issues in the PCN, we can find the Transversality and Interdisciplinarity, themes that we will also mention due to their importance on our project activities. A field research was developed on a school in the city Américo Brasiliense-SP, where we applied questionnaires to raise questions related to the subjects we considered indispensable to data surveys that reflect on the current students knowledge. The results showed that there is much to be clarified, understood and applied.
