Esta pesquisa tem três finalidades: a primeira é fazer uma abordagem histórica sobre a origem dos jogos de tabuleiro desde a antiguidade até os dias atuais. A segunda é descrever um interessante jogo de tabuleiro que vem sendo objeto de várias pesquisas em se tratando de novos métodos no ensino da matemática: os poliminós. A terceira, por fim, é aplicar algumas atividades elaboradas dentro da pesquisa bem como outras já existentes.

This research has three purposes: the first is to take a historical approach to the origin of board games from ancient times to the present day. The second is to describe an interesting board game that has been the subject of several researches when it comes to new methods in the teaching of mathematics: polyominoes. The third finally, is to apply some activities developed within the research as well as others that already exist.
