The purpose of this work is to show that many existing iterative processes of the Numerical Analysis, like those for numerical solution of algebraic and transcendental equations, linear and non linear systems of equations, inudal value problem, etc, are particular cases of the "Theorem of Contraction". We will see that these methods, can be seen as a simple determination of the fixed point of the appropriate operator T wich maps some Banach space X into itself.
