Vulnerabilidade

Abstract in English
The COVID-19 pandemic and the radical transformation that it provoked in our relationships have dramatically affected the life dynamics of the elderly. Among these, specifically, those who live alone faced a singular challenge, given the obvious consequences of urging them to remain in their homes. Thus, based on the theoretical frame of vulnerabilities, this work aims to understand, from in-depth interviews, the experience of elderly people who lived alone during the COVID-19 pandemic in the city of São Paulo, recognizing, through their discourses, the dialectic established between relationships of vulnerability and poetics of care production. The narratives, produced by 12 interlocutors with diversified life trajectories and sociodemographic profiles, illuminated in a significant manner how these individuals, when faced with obstacles to their ways of life, produce creative responses and establish new poetics of care, transforming themselves with the world and the other beings that inhabit it
