Abstract in Portuguese
As fontes informacionais pesquisadas foram: MEDLINE/PUBMED, CINAHL, EMBASE, BVS, Web of Science, SCOPUS e PsycINFO, e a literatura cinzenta como World Health Organization (WHO).

Abstract in English
The Sars-Cov-2 virus responsible for COVID-19 has triggered one of the biggest health and humanitarian crises of the 21st century. With this episode, there was an increase in the demand for medical assistance in several parts of the world, which resulted in greater exposure of health workers to processes of physical and psychological exhaustion. The aim of this study was to map in the literature the possible alterations presented in the mental health of health workers. A scoping review of the Joanna Briggs Institute Reviewers Manual for scoping reviews was performed. The study population consisted of the nursing, medical and physical therapy team, the concept investigated is the mental health of workers exposed to COVID-19, who provide direct care to patients with COVID-19, in the hospital context and intensive care units. Studies that contained at least one descriptor or synonym related to mental health and another related to COVID-19, in the title or abstract, were included. Articles carried out in primary care, nursing homes, opinion articles and editorials, letters and correspondence from the editor, theses and dissertations, literature reviews and articles without an available abstract were excluded. The information sources researched were: MEDLINE/PUBMED, CINAHL, EMBASE, BVS, Web of Science, SCOPUS and PsycINFO, and gray literature such as the World Health Organization (WHO). The texts found were sent to Rayyan, and the application was developed with the aim of helping researchers in the screening of articles. After this process, there 72 studies were selected, most of them with themes focused on anxiety, burnout, depression and traumatic stress. Studies from the Asian continent form the majority of those selected. Being a female nurse between the ages of 30 and 50 is associated with mental health problems and psychological distress. The risks of depression and burnout in physical therapists are greater if they have children. Being a medical worker, working in teaching hospitals tends to have a high degree of anxiety. Being a woman in any occupational group is strongly associated with mental health problems. This study contributes to the importance of prevention strategies for health workers, possible public policies to protect workers health, therapies available in times of crisis, deprecation of health work and advocation for better working conditions so that possible interventions can be implemented
